How does the Rock 'n Ride work?
The Rock 'n Ride can be controlled in two ways:

1) Your analogue joystick can be connected to the control panel from your Rock 'n ride, than you connect the control panel to the gameport from your computer, using a joystick extension cable. By connecting the rock 'n Ride in this way all information from your joystick will be converted in movements, independent from the game that you are playing. The Rock 'n Ride will move if you move your joystick.

2) The control panel will be connected to the serial port (COM2) from your computer. (Serial Force Feedback Connector), this means that your joystick can be connected to the gameport from your computer. If you use this setup for the Rock 'n ride, you will benefit from more realistic movements as well as ability to add profiles.

With more realistic movements we mean, when you release your joystick, a normal plane with it's nose down will not automatically centre itself, depending on the type of game it will take a while before you gain control again. Imagine these realistic movements in race, space or speedboat simulators!

Which kind of games is suitable for the Rock 'n Ride?
Any flight, space or race game with full screen view offers you the maximum of pleasure for sure! We advise you to use a good 3D card to enhance the realism. The Rock 'n Ride uses standard steering protocols.

Does the Rock 'n Ride support Force Feedback?
By connecting the Rock 'n Ride to the COM2 port from your computer using a serial cable, and with the use of some special profiles, you can enhance your Rock 'n Ride. Currently the Rock 'n Ride uses “Direct Input Standard” so most games will recognize it immediately

How much weight can it carry?
The heavier you are, the better the chair will move up and down, using the balance between you and your monitor. When you need more weight you can balance the chair by pulling the monitor towards you. The Rock 'n Ride has been tested with 120kg in a constant "overload" testing routine during a year in the research department.

Can I use my steering wheel?
There are optional pedal- and steer bearings available, which are suitable for any standard steering wheels and pedals.

What makes the Rock ‘n Ride move?
In general comparative motionsimulators make use of a hydraulic system. The Rock 'n Ride however uses air pressure for move! By creating a balance between monitor and user, the Rock 'n Ride only needs only 2 Bar air pressure!

The movements are generated in the internal hardware in combination with the steering movements from your joystick or steering wheel, which are transferred back to the chair from your computer. The hardware is the same as the equipment used in the professional arcadecentre systems (NRG®), and offers you the same robust and stable characteristics.

Does the compressor make a lot of noise?
The sound produced by the compressor is comparative with the sound of a refrigerator.

And how about the monitor?
For optimal movement and view at your screen, we advise you to use a shockproof 15" monitor with a weight under 18kg as optimal configuration. Currently they are working on flatscreen solutions.

And If I wanted to use the I-glasses?
That is absolutely no problem, as long as you use a monitor as weight balance.
